Dollmusic is the experimental brainchild of Stacy Withrow aka Jelly, and over the course of the last 5 years has morphed from simple acoustic songs co-written with Reggie Ashley and Josiah Carroll, to instrumental, Hyper-electronic ballads composed by Miss Jelly alone in a friends home studio. Currently, after a year off and learning to play the piano, she’s writing songs independently and will be re-entering the studio with the new material by summer 2008.

“Im always interested in collaborating with new musicians. I’m still trying to find my way, my voice. I feel like I’m always in search of that perfect, synchronistic match. But until it finds me I’ll keep writing my own songs even if Im not as adversed on an instrument as some of the other song writers out there.” -Dollmusic

Jelly, also a freelance makeup artist, adds a tasteful element of costuming and theatrics to her performances and I expect her new material will warrant just as much creativity as the last batch. With lyrics that are usually raw, occasionally violent and sometimes vulgar, she maintains a way of delivering her message sweetly as if no one was hurt or injured during the making of this album..Music contribution: “xxx no vox”
